A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking for all events and charters.
Weather & Cancellations:
Please take note that weather in Kodiak can often be unpredictable. We at KSS will make our best effort to ensure your booking is the most fun, safe adventure possible however, we make no guarantees.
If we are forced to cancel for issues other than weather we will provide a full refund of your deposit. (Example: Mechanical, Scheduling Error, nonavailability)
Cancellations within 72 hours of the date of booking are nonrefundable.
Deposits will be refunded for cancellations greater than 72 hours prior, if another booking has been made in its place for the same time period.
Safety is our number one concern. If the Captain/Guide deems the weather conditions to be unsafe then the client will be offered a raincheck, partial or full refund on a case by case basis at the Captain/Guide's discretion.
Refunds will not be offered if the client chooses to cancel due to weather.
Refunds will not be offered for weather delays only for cancellations. Schedule changes due to weather are not considered grounds for a refund.
All customers acknowledge their agreement to the following policy when they pay their initial invoice. A link to the rental policy is listed on this website and also at the bottom of the invoice.
Cancellations - Refunds will be offered only if a reservation has occurred for the same time period by another party for the same equipment.
Unreported damage to the equipment - If the customer fails to report damage to the equipment they will be held responsible for the damages plus any additional rental period until the equipment has been repaired or replaced.
Customers are responsible to return the equipment within 24 hours of the reservation end date. additional rental fees apply beyond the 24 hour grace period.
Customers are financially responsible for any damages that may occur beyond normal wear and tear during the rental period and agree to repair or replacement as determined by Kodiak Survival School LLC.
Customers are required to obey all state, federal and local laws while using the equipment.
Customers are responsible for returning the equipment to the air service or an agreed upon location. Any additional expenses required to pick up the equipment will be paid by the customer.
A cleaning fee of $120 per hour will be assessed for equipment that is returned unusually dirty or stinky.
Customers are also responsible for destruction of equipment by forces of nature including but not limited to animals.
Kodiak Survival School LLC is NOT responsible for any injury including death or perceived injury resulting from the use of the equipment. Equipment may be used at your own risk.
Kodiak Survival School is NOT responsible for any outcomes while using the equipment.
Breakages and mechanical failures that occur in the field are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Rain checks or discounts may be offered at the discretion of Kodiak Survival School Staff.
