Kodiak Survival School can teach you how to find or construct shelter then you need it. We will show you how to not only survive but to thrive and stay warm in the bush. Often this class is where our students genuinely learn the woodsman's art of innovation. Our shelters class will cover:

- Various types of shelters

- Stie selection

- Weather and waterproofing 

- Insulation 

- Warming fires vs cooking fires

- A frames 

- Lean to 

Note: Winter courses combined with mountain navigation may get the opportunity to explore snow cave shelters, tree pits and/or igloos depending on snow conditions.
